Pusarla Venkata Sindhu known as P.V Sindhu is an Indian professional
badminton player and the first Indian woman win an Olympic silver
medal. She was born on 5th July 1995 in Hyderabad, Andhrapradesh. Her parents are P.V Ramana and P Vijaya. This passionate player started playing badminton at the age of eight. Her coach was Pullela Gopichand who was in awe after watching the young girl in action. Winning junior badminton titles like the All India Ranking championship made it clear that she would be a player to recon with once she made it to the international stage. She made her international debut in 2009 at the Sub Junior Asian Badminton Championship and won a Bronze medal. She delivered her best performance in Summer Olympics 2016 where she reached the Final and secured a Silver medal. The milestones of her career are winning silver in Commonwealth Games,2018. Aside from the international International success she achieved a silver in Asian Games, 2018, a Silver in Uber cup etc. Currently her ranking is 6th among the world’s badminton players.
